STAT Med Training
Refund Policy
Last updated October 5, 2026
1. General Terms (apply to all services)
These terms apply to every course and service STAT Med Training offers. The service-specific rules in Sections 2 through 5 add to them.
How to request a refund. Email support@statmedtraining.com or call 386-288-8332. Include your full name, the course or service, the date, and your order number. Requests are reviewed in the order received.
Processing fees are non-refundable. We accept credit and debit cards through Shopify, PayPal, and Amazon Pay. Each provider charges STAT Med a processing fee when you pay, and none of them return that fee when a refund is issued. Every approved refund is reduced by the processing fee on your original payment, unless this policy states otherwise.
No sales tax. STAT Med Training does not charge sales tax on its courses or services, so no tax is added to or refunded from any purchase.
How refunds are paid. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method only. Please allow 5 to 10 business days for the refund to appear. Your card issuer, PayPal, or Amazon Pay may take longer to post it.
Rescheduling. Section 2 covers rescheduling for AHA blended, self-guided, renewal, and skills-only appointments. For all other courses and services, you may move to another date once at no charge. You must ask before your original start time. A second reschedule is treated as a new registration at full price. A rescheduled class follows the same refund rules as the original booking.
Third-party fees. Fees we pay to outside agencies on your behalf cannot be refunded once paid. Examples include state and FBI background fees and state exam fees.
2. American Heart Association Courses: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Heartsaver
AHA courses are non-refundable once you access or start the course. A course counts as accessed or started when any of the following happens first:
- You open your online course (HeartCode or Heartsaver Online) for the first time.
- The scheduled class start time arrives.
- You begin a skills session at a skills verification station.
If your online course key has been issued but you have not opened it, we can recall the key and refund your purchase, minus processing fees.
| Situation | Refund |
|---|---|
| Cancelled before accessing or starting the course | Full refund, minus processing fees |
| Online course key issued but not yet opened | Full refund, minus processing fees, once the key is recalled |
| Online course opened, or class has started | No refund |
| AHA course completion card (eCard) issued | No refund |
| Skills verification station delivered to your site ($30 drop-off fee) | Drop-off fee is non-refundable |
| Did not pass and need to return | No refund; remediation follows AHA guidelines and your instructor's direction |
Rescheduling: blended, self-guided, renewal, and skills-only appointments
These rules cover BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Heartsaver appointments that are blended learning, self-guided, renewal, or skills-only. We block your appointment time for you, so late or repeated changes carry a fee unless you have Cancellation Protection.
Cancellation Protection is an optional $5 add-on. It is available only at registration and cannot be added later.
| When you reschedule | With Cancellation Protection ($5) | Without Cancellation Protection |
|---|---|---|
| 24 hours or more before your appointment | Free | Free for up to 5 reschedules, then $25 each |
| Less than 24 hours before your appointment | Free, as many times as needed to finish | $25 per reschedule |
| After a missed appointment | Free, as many times as needed to finish | $25 per reschedule |
Cancellation Protection is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another person. It covers only the enrollment it was bought with. Rescheduling does not change the no-refund rule once a course has been accessed or started.
Rescheduling: full instructor-led AHA classes
Full instructor-led BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Heartsaver classes get one free reschedule, as described in Section 1. Online course keys cannot be transferred to another person.
Online Part 1 only (including customers from CEUFast)
We sell the online Part 1 for BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Heartsaver on its own. Many of these customers reach us through a link from CEUFast. Part 1 follows the same rule as all AHA courses: once you open the online course, it is non-refundable.
Confirm your skills session before you buy.
Part 1 alone does not complete your course. You must also complete a hands-on skills session (Part 2) with an AHA training site to receive your AHA course completion card. Make sure you have access to a skills session before you purchase Part 1.
STAT Med Training is not responsible for finding a skills session for you. Not having a skills session is not grounds for a refund once Part 1 has been accessed. If you would like to complete your skills with us, STAT Med Training offers skills sessions, booked and paid for separately.
3. CNA and LPN IV Certification Programs
CNA and LPN IV Certification programs require a $100 non-refundable deposit to hold your seat. The remaining balance is due by the first day of class. Tuition is refundable only until class starts.
| Situation | Refund |
|---|---|
| $100 deposit, at any time | Non-refundable |
| Withdraw before the first class day | Balance paid beyond the deposit is refunded, minus processing fees |
| Withdraw on or after the first class day | No refund |
| Dismissed for attendance, conduct, or academic reasons | No refund |
Students who have not paid the full balance by the first day of class may not be able to attend.
State certification exam. STAT Med Training does not collect the Florida CNA certification exam fee. Students register and pay the exam provider directly, and that provider's cancellation and refund policy applies.
You may use your one free reschedule (Section 1) to move your deposit to a later program start date. You must ask before your original program starts. Deposits cannot be transferred to another person.
If you are a sponsored student, refunds go to the party that paid. This includes employers and workforce or agency programs.
4. Fingerprinting and Background Screening
Background screening fees are refundable until your fingerprints are transmitted. Transmission sends your prints to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and the FBI. At that moment, the state and federal fees are charged and cannot be recovered.
| Situation | Refund |
|---|---|
| Cancelled before your prints are transmitted | Full refund, minus processing fees |
| Prints have been transmitted | No refund |
| Missed appointment, prints not taken | Refund minus processing fees, or reschedule |
| Prints rejected by the agency (poor print quality) | One reprint at no charge; further resubmissions may require new fees |
| Wrong agency or reason code given to us by the applicant or employer | No refund once transmitted |
Please confirm your agency name, ORI number, and reason for screening before your appointment. Background results come from the screening agency, not STAT Med Training. We cannot issue refunds based on a screening's outcome.
5. Other Situations
If STAT Med cancels a class. If we cancel a class because of low enrollment, weather, instructor illness, or another reason, you choose one of two options. You can take a full refund, with processing fees included, or move to another date free of charge. Moving dates this way does not count as your one free reschedule.
No-shows and late arrivals. If you miss a class without telling us before it starts, you are not eligible for a refund. For AHA blended, self-guided, renewal, and skills-only appointments, see the rescheduling options in Section 2. Students who arrive more than 15 minutes late may be asked to reschedule. This counts as a no-show. AHA guidelines require students to complete all course content.
Group and employer bookings. Refunds for group, employer, or invoiced purchases go to the organization that paid, not to individual students. Organizations may substitute one student for another before class starts at no charge.
Chargebacks and payment disputes. Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank, PayPal, or Amazon. Most issues can be fixed quickly. Filing a dispute for a service that was delivered or used may delay any refund. We will provide records showing the service was delivered.
Exceptions. Exceptions for medical emergencies, military deployment, a death in the family, etc. may be considered case by case with documentation. Any exception is at STAT Med Training's sole discretion.
Changes to this policy. STAT Med Training may update this policy at any time. The version posted on our website at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.
Questions. Email support@statmedtraining.com or call 386-288-8332.
