Common questions
Choosing an office.
Are the courses the same at every office?
Yes. Same official AHA curriculum, same instructor standards, same eCards. The only differences between offices are hours, parking, and a few location-specific extras (e.g. Heartsaver, CNA classes and walk-in FDLE fingerprinting are at our Lake City office).
Can I book at one office and reschedule at another?
Yes — give us a call or email. For CPR appointments (BLS, ACLS, PALS and Heartsaver), switching offices follows the same rescheduling terms: free 24 hours or more ahead for up to 5 changes, $25 within 24 hours or after a missed appointment, and always free with Cancellation Protection ($5, added when you book). Other courses and services get one free reschedule if you ask before your start time. See the rescheduling terms.
Which office has the soonest opening?
It varies day to day. Open any course page (BLS, ACLS, PALS, etc.) and pick the location step — the date picker shows live availability at each office.
Do you offer onsite training in places you don't have an office?
Yes. We bring instructors and equipment to your worksite anywhere in north and central Florida. See Onsite Company Training.
What certifications do you offer in North Florida?
We're an AHA-authorized training site offering BLS, ACLS, and PALS at all four offices (Gainesville, Jacksonville, Lake City, and Ocala), plus Heartsaver CPR/AED/First Aid, CNA classes, and Level 2 fingerprinting at our Lake City office. LPN IV certification classes run at each office on select dates.
Are your eCards accepted at hospitals?
Yes. You receive an official American Heart Association eCard, accepted at hospitals, nursing programs, and employers nationwide.
How long is my certification valid?
AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS Provider cards are valid for 2 years. We'll have your renewal ready when it's time.
Can I get certified the same day?
For BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Heartsaver — yes. Complete the online course beforehand, then come in for a quick in-person skills check and leave with your eCard the same day.
What areas do you serve?
Our four offices serve Alachua (Gainesville), Columbia (Lake City), Duval (Jacksonville), and Marion (Ocala) counties and the surrounding North Florida communities.
What are your hours?
All offices are open Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm, by appointment. Book online in minutes.
Do you take walk-ins or do I need an appointment?
We run by appointment so you're seen right away — book your date and time online. It only takes a couple of minutes.
What's the difference between BLS and CPR?
BLS (Basic Life Support) is the clinical, provider-level version of CPR for healthcare professionals. For non-clinical needs we offer Heartsaver CPR/AED/First Aid.
Are you an AHA authorized training site?
Yes. STAT Med Training is an authorized American Heart Association training site and issues official AHA eCards on successful completion.
