Curriculum
What you'll learn.
BLS is the foundation of every resuscitation team. Same AHA curriculum at every STAT Med location.
BLS is required for most clinical roles — nurses, EMS, respiratory therapists, medical and nursing students, paramedics, firefighters, dentists, and healthcare support staff.
Pass your skills check and your AHA BLS Provider eCard is issued electronically before you leave. Forward it to your employer or credentialing office.
BLS FAQ
Common questions.
Which format should I pick?
Self-Guided is the fastest and most popular — online cognitive at your pace, short in-person skills check. Blended uses HeartCode online + scheduled skills. Classroom is full in-person (Lake City only). Skills Only is for renewals or learners who completed an approved online course elsewhere.
Do I get an official AHA eCard?
Yes. Every successful completion at any STAT Med location issues an official American Heart Association BLS Provider eCard accepted by every U.S. hospital.
Is BLS the same as CPR?
BLS (Basic Life Support) is the clinical version of CPR for healthcare providers. For non-clinical audiences we offer Heartsaver CPR/AED/First Aid.
Can I reschedule?
Yes — rescheduling is free up to 24 hours before your appointment. Add Cancellation Protection at checkout for a flat $4 to skip the $25 last-minute reschedule fee.
How long is the eCard valid?
2 years. Renewal can be done through any of the same formats.
